The DC diplomatic community’s favorite run returns this year in a virtual format, opening the door to new possibilities!
We invite all runners in the U.S. to celebrate with us the legacy of Thaddeus Kosciuszko, a Revolutionary War hero who served in the Continental Army and who helped America win its independence. Thaddeus Kosciuszko stood for equality and liberty for all and was described by Thomas Jefferson as “the purest son of liberty”.
The 2020 Kosciuszko Freedom Run: 4th Edition is organized by the Embassy of Poland in Washington, D.C. and by the Embassy of Lithuania in Washington, D.C. in collaboration with Montgomery County Road Runners Club. The same „rules” apply as in our previous in-person editions, with one small exception: you can now run whenever and wherever you want!
Register for the race and head outside for your 5K run between October 8th and 31st. Once you are done, use the website to self-report your time. Registration is FREE but do not delay – the first 200 registered finishers of the run will receive a custom-made commemorative medals!
