Christmas gifts are on their way to Lithuanian families
Dear Members of the Daughters of Lithuania LA,
We did it … together with your support, wonderful fun creative gifts and monetary donations … Christmas packages are on their way to the following locations:
Paparčiai Home for Families
Angelų Palėpė Day Care Center in Kaunas
Rumbonys Home for Children and Seniors
St. John’s Home for Children
Raseiniai School for Children with Disabilities
Šilo School for Children with Disabilities
Smalininkų School in Jurbarko Region
Mamų Unija in Vilnius
One of the gifts in each of the packages was a telescope. We included a note (see below) explaining that, this year, when we were unable to travel and visit them, we hope that this gift unites us … knowing that we are all looking at the same planets and stars together … and thinking of them.
We appreciate the time and thought you put into making this Christmas so very special for the kids, caregivers and teachers in Lithuania.
