Vote in favor of the bill and help Ukraine

On behalf of the Public Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian American Community, we are sharing this message:

BIG NEWS: U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson finally took action!  On Wednesday, he brought a national security supplemental bill for Ukraine to the floor.  The vote will take place this Saturday! 

THANK YOU to those who called his office!  You made a difference! 

NOW, you need to call or write your representative to ask them to vote in favor of the bill. Please:

CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE:

1. Click www.house.gov to search for your Representative by zip code (in the upper righthand corner); and
2. Call and leave a message, or copy and paste the sample letter below into the contact form, and press send. 

SAMPLE PHONE CALL MESSAGE:

My name is _____and I am your constituent.  I strongly support sending aid to Ukraine.  Please vote YES on the national security supplement aid bill for Ukraine.  They are fighting for our freedom as well as theirs. 

SAMPLE LETTER:

Dear Representative (name):

I am aware of the House Appropriations Committee’s initiative for critical supplemental funding for Ukraine.  As your constituent, I urge you to support Ukraine. 

The supplemental initiative is not only about Ukraine defending its own country, sovereignty, an territorial integrity, it is also an investment in international law-based security. 

Assisting Ukraine and curbing Russian aggression NOW will prevent prolonged American involvement in a future worldwide conflict.  I look forward to your affirmative vote for the Ukraine supplemental bill.
