The Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Valley Outreach Synagogue & Center for Jewish Life, invites the community to a special cultural event: An Evening of History, Heritage & Diplomacy, dedicated to exploring the rich and complex Jewish experience in Lithuania and strengthening Lithuanian-American ties.
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Valley Outreach Synagogue in Calabasas, CA.
Special guest speakers will include Faina Kukliansky, Chairperson of the Jewish Community of Lithuania, and Sandra Brikaitė, Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Los Angeles.
Guests will enjoy an engaging evening of dialogue, cultural exchange, Lithuanian refreshments, and music. The program seeks to foster deeper understanding and connections between Lithuanian and Jewish communities, honoring their shared history while looking toward a future of collaboration and friendship. The discussion will also offer a fresh look at modern-day Lithuania – its vibrant culture, historic sites, and dynamic investment opportunities – inviting guests to see the country through both a historical and contemporary lens.
As part of the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition “The Righteous Among the Nations – Those Who Were Not Afraid to Die Became Immortal,” which honors the extraordinary bravery of individuals who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust.
