Gedulo ir Vilties dienos minėjimas Portlande

Portlando lietuvių bendruomenė tradiciškai paminėjo Gedulo ir Vilties dieną prie lietuviško koplytstulpio Grotto parke. Pasidalinome savo giminių tremties istorijomis, giedojome Lietuvos himną, dainavome lietuvių tremtinių dainas. Gražina Bračiulienė visiems papasakojo apie „mirties geležinkelį”. Ačiū visiems susirinkusiems paminėti šią svarbią visiems lietuviams datą.

Portland Lithuanian Community gathered at the Grotto on Sunday to commemorate the Day of Morning and Hope. Personal family stories of exiles were shared. We sang Lithuanian anthem and several songs that were popular among the Lithuanian exilees. Gražina Bračiulienė gave a short history lesson about the „railway of death” project. Thanks to all for being a part of this commemoration!
