DESCRIPTION:Embassy of Lithuania in Washington\, D.C. invites you to join The virtual presentation of the photography series “Soon to Be Gone” by Tadas Kazakevičius\, documentary photographer based in Vilnius\, Lithuania.\nJoin us December 8th\, 3PM (EST)\, for registration visit:\nhttps://zoom.us/webinar/register/3116061503580/WN_dTCRn6nLRAyId2OeWKwUPg \nIn his Soon to Be Gone photography series\, Tadas Kazakevičius draws inspiration from American photographers who documented rural America during the Great Depression era\, such as Dorothea Lange and Walker Evans. They also used their photography to attempt to capture the times and things that were destined to soon come to an end. With a similar aim\, photographer takes a nostalgic look at his homeland’s countryside. \nWith his extensive series “Soon to be Gone”\, Tadas became the finalist in numerous awards like Leica Oskar Barnack\, LensCulture Exposure and ZEISS awards and the series were presented in many exhibitions including this year’s prestigious Jimei x Arles 2020 exhibition in China.
