DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fascinating online presentation about a touring series of rock music festivals that took place in Lithuanian cities during the summers of 1987 – 1989. It was called „Roko Maršas”\, literally\, „The March of Rock Music”. The marches were as much political statements\, ever-increasingly calling for independence\, as they were rock music festivals. In 1989\, three groups from North America were invited to join Lithuanian rock groups for that year’s „Rock March”. Several of those participants will share their experiences from that summer tour.
